I’ve always enjoyed the small steam trains of the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch railway as they criss-cross the Romney Marsh so I really enjoyed painting this image of the steam locomotive ‘Dr Syn’ as it passed Botolph’s Bridge.
Dr Syn at Botolph’s Bridge (oils) by Paul Apps U.A.
I’m not the only one! I’m happy to say that I’ve just sold this painting to a fellow steam train enthusiast who fell in love with the it when he saw it. I’m so pleased that the painting has found it’s right home.
Today is the penultimate day of my current exhibition at Green Chair Gallery. Exhibition closes at 5pm tomorrow!
