Sea Edge Exhibition, Hythe – 20th-29th October 2017

I’m delighted to be a part of the forthcoming Sea Edge Exhibition to be held at the Tin Tabernacle, Portland Road, Hythe from the 20th-29th October, 10am-6pm.

The exhibition is being held as part of the Folkestone Triennial Arts Festival and this dynamic exhibition includes work by myself and a further 9 artists.

The exhibition is based around the theme of the sea and the artistic response to its physicality and the symbolic hold that the sea has on the human imagination.

Sennen Cove by Paul Apps. Oil en plein air. £450.

Lower Sands, Dymchurch by Paul Apps U.A. Oil. £650.

Although chiefly focussed on visual art, the Sea Edge exhibition also draws on poems and prose which examine man’s relationship with the sea, with each artist selecting texts that have a personal resonance or connection to their work in the show.

Artists exhibiting work include Annie Catford, Laura Froude, David Lay, Andy Maguire, Phyllis McDowell, Catherine Robinson, Mike Sanders, Dee Taylor and Steve Thompson.

It should be a really good exhibition so I hope you can make it!
